Hey! This is neat: I got to introduce the second addition to the Newport Folk Festival 2013 lineup this morning, and it’s Shovels & Rope. I’ve been covering the Newport Folk Festival since its 50th anniversary in 2009, and over the course of the past few years it’s become one of my absolute favorite things to write about. (Thanks for thinking of me, guys. See you at the Fort!)
Hearing this live was a particularly lovely #NewportFolk moment.
